Goat Cheese & Herb Dip


This was another recipe that I tried out for my roommate’s birthday gathering last week.   It got rave reviews from the party goers, and we used the leftovers as a tasty salad dressing the day after the party.  If you like goat cheese, you’ll love this!

Goat Cheese & Herb Dip

6 ounces reduced fat fresh goat cheese
3 Tablespoons plain nonfat yogurt
3 teaspoons olive oil
1/3 cup chopped fresh parsley leaves
2 teaspoons chopped fresh thyme leaves
1 scallion, finely minced
Raw vegetables for dipping

Put the cheese, yogurt, and oil into a food processor and blend until smooth. Stir in the herbs and scallion, season with salt and pepper, and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour. Serve chilled with vegetables for dipping.



  1. Speaking of goat cheese… I bought fresh figs, sliced them in half, put a glob of gc in the middle of each, pressed an almond into the center, sprinkled with dill, broiled for 3 minutes, and drizzled with honey and balsamic vinegar. Mmmm….easy and delicious. Nothing like fresh figs.
