I make our favorite turkey burgers pretty often. While I love a good beef-y burger on the grill, I more often crave lighter fare, and turkey is a perfect alternative. I tried this new turkey burger recipe back in September when we had some friends over for a Labor Day get-together, and they were a big hit. Packed with garlic, feta cheese, and basil pesto (you just can’t go wrong a combo like that!), there was a powerful punch of flavor in every bite.
Pesto Turkey Sliders

Yield: 4 large patties or 12 small patties
1 1/3 pounds lean ground turkey
2 Tablespoons basil pesto
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
1 1/2 teaspoons seasoned salt (I used a McCormick grill seasoning mix that I had on hand, but you could also just use salt and pepper, or a combination of salt and dried herbs of your choice)
1/2 cup bread crumbs
Preheat an outdoor grill on medium-high heat. Mix together the turkey, pesto, garlic, feta cheese, seasoned salt, and breadcrumbs in a bowl until evenly blended. Form into 12 small patties. Grill until no longer pink in the center, about 5 minutes per side.
